Before we go into anything that happened I want to talk about how good a kid Milo is. From the moment his parents took him home from the hospital he’s filled a hole in our lives we never even knew was there. He’s an only child, but he was happy, well behaved, smart, and energetic kid. He loves riding around the mountain on his bike, and hiking with his Dad. He can climb a tree higher than you’d ever believe – always makes me feel old. He plays the trumpet in the school band, and he’s handy with a computer as well (he’s always showing me what to do). He has these puzzle games he likes, where you have to click around to find clues. He’s got me into them a bit as well, which is more of a surprise to me than anyone else.
He’s popular at school, he has a lot of friends. His favourite subject in school is art, and he loves doing all the different things they get them to make and displaying them around the house. I’d of thought he’d of been more of a P.E. kid like I was but I suppose he’s a bit of everything. Since about grade 4 he’s worked at his father’s shop after school delivering fish and chips. He loves it, because it gives him plenty of time in the outdoors, and he loves having a chat with all the locals. Sometimes he runs late with orders because Milo’s never one to end a conversation. Everyone knows Milo. And anyone here would go to any lengths to see him back.

Today marks the 10th Anniversary of Milo's death. We hosted a small private memorial in Mary's new home. We may disagree on some things but we're still family.
